Rude management. Terrible roads. Could tell some upgrades have been done. If someone wants to have a campground that is pleasant to eye when you drive in, this is not for you. I would put all the long term campers in the back of the campground and fix up the front sites and not have 30 years campers with moss all over them visable right when you pull in. Question why do they need security at the gate all the time? Answer... clientele.
Just spent 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff is hardworking and friendly and available 24/7. Didn't have any trouble with the electric/water/sewer hook-ups. Met some nice campers who helped us get set up. Sites are nice and reasonably maintained. Bathrooms are cleaned 2X per day but probably could use a 3rd time if there are a lot of campers. Tentatively reserved for 2018.
This place was awful. Narrow, tight roads with untrimmed trees. We paid for 30 amp service, but sight 105A did not even have a place to plug in. We returned to the office to ask to be moved and the woman working argued with us that there was a box to plug into. All the "30 amp" sites are really 20 amp at The most with regular household outlets. The woman again argued that this is convertible to 30 amp with an adapter, which is simply not true. When we said we would just like to be moved to the 50 amp, she was rude about it and demanded we pay the upcharge, despite our hassle. Poorly managed and poorly maintained. We will never return and you shouldn't either.
Horrible, horrible campground. The electrical hookups are terrible. We had to choose between running the fridge or other appliances. The check in staff is rude and unfriendly, as well as the "gate keepers." The roads are atrocious, very narrow with sharp turns, gravel that is full of potholes and ruts. I thought we were going to get a flat tire. The seasonal kids run around yelling half the night. The seasonal campers all look like they are from the 40's, run down, rusted with rusted out furniture laying all around. Not a place for big rigs. If I could give it less than 1 star I would.
Such a great atmosphere, the employees are pretty great, the owner and his sons are making great improvements and updates. (The campground dogs Nitro and Miss Dixie are wonderful too...give me a treat they will love you forever) RIP My friend Ratchet). Go here they treat you like family!
